How much would you pay to take your kids to a 4 hour craft fair? Read details.?

Question by Naive Married Man: How much would you pay to take your kids to a 4 hour craft fair? Read details.?
My wife and I are looking to make a hobby company and we want to make a big stride by renting a community room ($ 30/hr) and doing arts and crafts. We would provide the project, the materials, the tables, the chairs, and food/drinks for the 4 hour event…. How much would someone be willing to pay for this service? It would run from 6pm to 10pm on every Saturday night. The service could even be treated like a babysitting service if you and your spouse haven’t been “out” in a long time and wouldn’t mind getting out for some fresh air without the kids.

We were going to splash the event with a Pokemon tournament or a collectible card game tournament for kids uninterested in doing crafts. We were also thinking about having pizza, water, and chips at the event so the kids wouldn’t get hungry.

Lemme know what you think of the idea and how much you would pay.

As a parent of 2 kids, I would compare the cost, at least somewhat to babysitting going rates in your area. Where I live, I pay $ 10 per hour for someone to watch my 2 kids in their home, and then they go to bed somewhat on time. Since you are providing food and project materials, I would say $ 25 per kid for the night. But, if you are looking to solicit business from people who don’t know you, be prepared to provide info on how many adults-to-child you will plan for, and you may also want to run background checks on all the adults working so strangers are comfortable living their kids.

My son cried, kicked, screamed… you name it.

Until we got smart and brought the portable dvd player with his favorite movie. He smiled the entire haircut!

What am I entitled to take with me when I leave abusive husband?

Question by Veronique: What am I entitled to take with me when I leave abusive husband?
I am going to leave my abusive husband of 8 years( together for 12) by this weekend. I know that it’s now or never. I want to take some things with me like my kid’s bed and dressers, our clothes, washing machine and big screen tv. I was going to leave the livingroom furniture, deep freezer and all of his collectibles( sports figurines, cars etc). We live in Michigan. I’m just wondering should I just take what I can and get the hell out of dodge or what? I’m also considering a personal protection order. I am really nervous as I don’t have a job right now. My kids and I are going over to my mom’s to live while I get on my feet. My mom is great and says she’ll provide for us while I get on my feet.I am not a deadbeat, I worked and paid bills ( even though he ‘s told everyone that I didn’t do shit but lay on my ass which is a total lie). I was laid off. I’m wondering what I may be entiltled to take with me? Our house is in foreclosure so that’s not an option to stay anyway & I fear him.

Take what you purchased yourself, or what he doesn’t want.

Most of all, you’re taking something no one can take away from you — your dignity!
