Question by resq-girl: What is the average cost of a 2 year olds Birthday party?
My husband is giving me a hard time telling me that I am spending too much on this party. Let me tell you, it sure does add up fast. I am a first time mom so I’m not really sure how this is supposed to work. We are having 8 kids and 17 adults which includes the parents of the kids, my husband and I and our parents. We are having our parents bring dishes of food to save on cost. Decorations and goody bags for each child cost us about $ 100. We need to rent a helium tank for $ 40. I am renting 2 sets of kid table and chairs for them to decorate their own cupcakes outside which cost $ 25. I am also having my daughters music teacher come for an hour to play instruments, sing songs, do a puppet show and some other things for $ 80. I think that about does it. We have another baby on the way and my husband says there is no way he is doing this twice a year. We need a budget for sure but what is a good budget? Every little thing adds up. Is the cost of our party under, at or above the average?

We are celebrating my daughter’s 2nd birthday at home with six of her friends.
I’d like to find a way to seat all the kids when we have pizza and cake, rather than having them all running around my house when it’s time to eat.
Where can I find an inexpensive table of a juvenile height that would serve the purpose and eventually be stored away for future use?
