Kids Table And Chairs

Question by happy mommy of 2: Baby #2 1 year 4 months younger than sister. Do I need 2 high chairs?
My kids are going to be 1 year 4 months apart. Baby #2 won’t be in a high chair until he is 5 months old. By then my daughter will be 1 year 9 months. Is she old enough to sit at the table or should I get 2 high chairs?

i would just get a booster seat for your oldest daughter when the youngest hits high chair age

I wonder if my 1.5 year old has enough toys. It seems like other kids her age have piles and piles of toys. My daughter has some dolls and some toys that makes noises and a couple doll carriages and a little kid’s table and chairs and crayons and playdough and a teaset and a zebra to bounce on… And a bunch of stuffed animals.

We don’t really have space for more… especially cool, big toys she can ride on. Our place is really small. But we give her lots of attention and play with her one-on-one. And it seems like she gets bored of her toys right away, anyway, and doesn’t even play with them.

What do you guys think?
Peter, how many 1.5 year olds do you know that can mow a lawn? Very funny.

children with those piles of toys become spoiled. i think playing with her one-on-one would be the best. as long as she has your attention. try playing some games that don’t require toys.

Get onto eBay, you can get stuff at great bargain prices.
Also go to charity shops, you will be surprised at what you find!
As long as you sterilise all these things before giving them to a child to save possible infections.

I’m planning my baby shower for NOV 22 or the 8th, not sure yet . We want to know what is a good party company for us, we want to rent about 10 tables and seats for up to 100 guests, also a bouncer house for the kids. Does anyone know of a good company that will give us the best price. Most likely the party will be in homestead. Any suggestions will be appreciated ?

Check your local yellow pages for rental companies. We have some really good ones in our area, but they’re local, not national. Sometimes they will be general rental companies that rent out anything from tables/chairs to small machinery if you’re in a more rural area. Other times they will be party rental companies. One of my favorite here is Signature Party Rentals, but I think it’s a local company. Check your yellow pages to see what you can find.

Question by Miss Informed: I need to leave my husband but I have no job or money of my own. What can I do?
My husband is an alcoholic who refuses treatment. He’s in the military but they don’t know of his problems yet. He’s gotten physical with me, and has shoved me down when I confronted him about drinking, and regularly gets in my face or throws things when angry. We have 2 kids under the age of 4. My husband is an officer in the Air Force, and we live in base housing. We’ve done counseling and he refuses to believe anything they say and says they’re targeting him and make him feel “evil”. I left a while back, but came back when he promised he’d go to counseling and stop drinking. I don’t want to leave without my kids’ beds and some furniture again, because this time will be for good. I have family who lives in South Carolina near Charleston, and I’d like to move to that area, but I know I can’t afford it. I’m afraid he’ll refuse to help out. I don’t have a job or a college education because we had decided I would stay home with the kids until they were in school before pursuing my education and career. Do I have any legal rights?
