I’m looking for a good paint for some unfinished furniture I’m buying for our kid’s room. Anyone have any good experience with something that’s safe, durable, low VOC, etc?

I have been happy with Behr latex paint for walls. It is remarkably lacking in odor. I am not sure what sort would be the most durable. I know that Sherwin Williams latex smells for a long time. I get migraines from smells, so odor is really important, since most ‘bad” odors and even perfumes make me sick. Home Depot has Behr and it’s sold in other places, too.
