Question by dolce: Is it rude to ask a waiter to move you to another table if there are loud children nearby?
Nothing against kids, and I undestand it’s not easy being a parent with small kids, but if I’m going out to eat sometimes I prefer the quiet. If there’s a child on the other side of my booth chair jumping up and down yelling unconsolably, I’d rather not be there. If it’s not overly busy, is it to rude to discreetly ask for another table?

Question by SisterSue: Little kids and counter height tables?? Do you have one with small children – 2 and under?
We are buying a house and really want to get a counter height table for our dining area…but are concerned about our one year old falling off of the higher chairs when she is old enough to come out of the high chair and sit in the chair without a booster seat.

Does anyone have a tall table and chairs, and how do your kids do in them? Our daughter is very squirmy and I don’t think it is going to change any time soon!
We have a booster seat that she can grow into, I guess I am just wondering about how kids that are a little older do? Like when they are too big for the boosters?

you can get a booster seat the buckles onto a regualr chair to keep her from falling.

The kids’ cousin (Joey from show called Freinds) had this girl always trying to get with him. Who is that girl. She would always come to his appartment and crawl across the furniture trying to seduce him and he would shrug her off. What a dork.

Picking children and baby furniture for a nursery is very important. You might want to run out and buy some things that you are only going to be able to use for a few months, such as a bassinet, a carrier car seat, or a mobile. Then it can be converted to a crib, and then into a toddler bed, and some even convert into a full sized headboard. So you can see how long this would last. You would be able to use the same piece of furniture for years.

Running in the same direction as a crib would be the purchase of a good crib mattress. You would definitely need to purchase a mattress with metal coils in them. Plain foam mattresses may be a little cheaper, but they wear out so much quicker compared to metal coils.
