I agree with the reviews I Have read. This is a royal hassle to assemble but quite sturdy and not unattractive. Fits 2 medium sized 5 year olds on each side.

Great table for the whole neighborhood to eat n go. We drag it to the playground nearby and have lunch, snacks and dinner. Kids love the umbrella for sunny days, or just to have something else to play with.Easy to wipe down or hose off. Fits 4-8 kids. Fun, fun, fun!

I bought this picnic table with umbrella for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party and it was a hit with the parents and kids. I have a picture of seven kids sitting and eating lunch at the table and we could have easily fit one more child at the table. There were 6 two year olds and a seven year old all sitting together. I would recommend this table, it was fairly easy to put together (we had two people put it together in about 45 minutes).

This was a gift for our granddaughter’s second birthday. I have actually seen it set up, but since the poor girl was sick during our visit (on her birthday), and lives 3 hrs away, I haven’t seen her use it. I am told that she loves to sit at the table and eat, draw, color, and do other arts and crafts. She is a very active little girl, yet she has actually sat at the table for several hours at a time. She loves it. Her mother is a featherweight, and said that there is no way she could sit at the table with her. It is definitely not sturdy enough for any substantial weight. I am not sure that even the specified number of children, in the specified age range, could use it without causing structural weakening. Just pressing on the center of the seats resulted in much give in the material. I witnessed an adult sit on the corner, over the legs, and the table exhibited signs of stress on the material. My son said that it wasn’t too difficult to put together, with two people, it took between 1 and 2 hrs. He sees no issue with taking it down for the season. The way it is built to store is definitely a plus. I think it was a smart purchase, and a good investment, as long as caution is used in monitoring the weight capacity. She will be able to use it for many years. The only drawback is that it isn’t sturdy enough for an adult. It makes it awkward and difficult for an adult to work with the child at the table because it can’t support the weight. Pulling a lawn chair up next to the table doesn’t really work well, and it puts the adult up much higher than the table. I rate it high for educational value in that it is the perfect size to facilitate a variety of educational activities. The child would be engaging in activities on their own height level, and not, for instance, kneeling on a chair at the kitchen table. The extra comfort just might encourage the child to work / play longer at an activity.
