The bench was easy to build and all the screws needed are included in this purchase. I didn't like going out to buy the wood for the bench but it is what I got myself into. Once I had all the necessary wood and building materials it was simple and assembly took about 3 hours. It looks great.

RND Picnic Table Frame

This is a very cute table. Larger than I thought. It seems like it will hold up well. Great for cookouts.

The picnic table kit was the perfect product for replacing our 30 year old picnic table. It was delivered quickly and all parts were in the box. This made for a beautiful new picnic table.

I constructed this with 4x10's. It went together very easily. The box got destroyed by shipping, but that is a UPS problem, not the seller's problem. IT is good quality metal. Not super heavy duty like you see at parks, but of good quality. I really like how it is not a standard 'A' frame which means that you can slide in from the side without having to step over the support beams. Very nice.

This is the second time in 20 years that I have made a picnic table using this tubular metal table base system. The first time was when my daughter was small and recently when she got her own house. Both times the assembly was very easy and made me look like a pro. Even if you are an accomplished handyman and could build a table from scratch, this system is great if you just don't have a lot of time.
One alteration I would suggest is to replace the four 3 1/4 inch screws used join the legs together with four 3 inch screws. The longer screws leave too much exposed screw sticking out in an area where legs and feet could get scraped. Or, just hacksaw off the excess screw and file it smooth with a metal file.
I've used 2x10 treated boards. Any wood exposed to the elements tends to warp over time. The wider boards provide the most consistently level area and fewest boards to become distorted.
Good product.
